Hardware and Network Requirements
Review recommended hardware specs and settings for Lab/Print 50 computers and PF Kiosk systems to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Recommended Hardware Specs/Settings for Lab/Print 50 Computers:
- Processor: Intel® Core i5 or higher
- Operating system: Windows 10 or 11 x64-bit
- RAM: 6GB (minimum) / 8GB or higher (recommended)
- Hard drive: 500GB or more (Solid state drives (SSDs) recommended)
- Monitor: 1024x768 resolution or larger
- Card reader: recommended for kiosks
- Printer installed as the default driver on the PC for printing receipts/invoices
- A user account with administrative privileges
- High speed internet connection
- Ensure that the Operating System is fully patched and has all the latest operating system updates
- Set the Control panel, in the settings called system->Advanced System Settings, make sure its set to adjust for best performance.
- Also in the control panel make sure to disable auto play, the power options are set to high performance, and that the network settings to allow sharing.
- In the display settings, make sure that the screen saver is disabled.
